About the QAF

After the Film and Art Festival „Les TransCulturelles gays et lesbiennes“ merged in 2010 with the GayMat Street Festival into a Luxembourg Pride Week, we want to take the opportunity in 2022 to set up a new festival dedicated to art and all its disciplines.

To this end, we invite queer artists from Luxembourg, the Greater Region and Europe to present their work and talents to a wider audience during the first weekend of the Pride Week.
For two days independent films, dance performances, paintings, photography and literature as well as other disciplines will be offered in different rooms on site.

This program is aimed at the local audience, as well as tourists who have consciously decided against other major European Pride events that weekend and those who prefer international queer art festivals in Europe as a perfect alternative program.

With a jump start due to the participation in the European Year of Culture program of Esch2022, we want to establish this Queer Art Festival as a Biennial (every two years) in the future program of the Luxembourg Pride and invite art enthusiasts from all over Europe to Luxembourg.

In and around our Pride Headquarters at Batiment IV, which will be open to everyone throughout Luxembourg Pride Week, the public will have the opportunity to discover the work of local queer artists at the Queer Arts Festival from 1 to 3 July.
